Zero thickness without mesh defomation

Hello,

I was hoping to find a structure in comsol that could be very thin and then compress to zero thickness without mesh deformation (2D model)?

I was hoping this structure would have some thermal conductivity through the dimension of decreasing thickness almost like a gas being squeezed out of plane.
