Problem with Solid Mechanics - Displacement without load

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am trying to model/simulate a car moving over a road surface - Solid Mechanics, Time Dependent Study and Plane Stress
I have managed to apply a boundary load that moves along the surface and so far so good. The road experiences deformation as the load passes over. But once the load has passed the entire length of the road new deformations starts without there being any load applied. At first I thought it was some sort of response from the road, a bounce of sort, but some of the new deformations exceed the ones that occurred during loading and that seems improbable.
Any suggestions why this is happening? How to avoid it?
