Mapped mesh error 4012: cannot create mapped mesh for this geometry. Isolated entities found

Hello,

I am encountering one meshing problem and wondering if there is any buddy can help me out.

Module: structural mechanics module, 2D plane stress
Objects: one rectangle with several points inside

Mapped mesh works fine when there is only the rectangle, but has error as mentioned in the title when there are points inside, even if they are unioned. These points are used for displacement versus time display for certain depths in the post-processing.

Best regards,
Lili

Hi

try to not use points alone (inside) but create the point as the intersection of 2 lines/edges, or 3 planes (internal boundaries). This mostly solves the meshing issue, at the cost of a little more RAM to treat

Good luck
