Visualising the mesh

Hello,

I am looking for some help with visualising the mesh on a certain part of my geometry which is basically a 3D cylinder. I have tried using the mesh plot under 3D plot group in the results section but I would ideally like to look at the mesh along one slice of the geometry (near the base) - does anyone know if this is possible?

The reason I wish to do this is that even when I select the finest mesh setting I always get the same warning message - "Edge is much shorter than the specified minimum element size." - so I would like to see what is going on in order to try and correct it manually.

Thanks,

Lauren

Hello Lauren,
You can apply a filter to your mesh plot in order to display only certain mesh elements and not others. The filtering criterion can be a boolean expression like x>.1 to show only those elements above a certain plane, etc.
Best,
Jeff
