Magnetic Field

hi all,
first of all i have to admit that i'm hardly experienced with numeric simulation and comsol.
i'm trying to create a magnetic field with comsol in 2D to analyse how the magnetic field changes when there are some external incidents.
the only thing i know about the field is its course. (A/m over distance to coil in m).
so far i have tried the "multi-turn coil domain" to create the field but regardless of which parameter i'm changing i have not reach to create the correct field.
so my question is, if it is possible to create a magnetic field with comsol on the basis of a table with values, which describe the field?
i hope i have made my problem plain to you.

Hi
when you start with COMSOL, read carefully (several times)the doc, and do the exercice in the model library (print out the pdf in v4 and follow. This really speeds up the learning process, not to say if you can manage to follow some of the Comsol courses.
I would propose, that if you begin, in ACDC in stationary with coils etc, use external boundary current sources. The multiturn coil BC is a "higher level" item, to use when you fully understand what is happening with a bulk rectangular coil section, virtually carrying Nturn*Iwire/coil_section_ = 1234567890[A/m^2]. then do astationary, time step/transient and frequency sweep exercice, and look at the current densities in the bulk coil
If you set up correctly (including checking the units) COMSO gives you the correct answers, to be compared with classical analytical derivation, when possible

Dear sir , I think i am stuck at the same point. I am trying to have the field in the spherical air core tabulated with numbers ; for instance, on the x-axis at distance 4mm the magnetic field equals 4 T or something. My question is how to do this ? i have downloaded the multiturn coil model file and i hope i could apply this feature on it. Regards and thanks in advance
