Modeling change in impedance as a particle flows past electrodes?

Hello, I've been trying to create a model of a coulter counter in a microfluidic device and was wondering if it was possible to model the change in impedance across the electrode as particles flowed past the electrodes. I'm currently using a 2D model and haven't been able to get any reaction in terms of electrical potential when the particles flow through, despite trying many things
