I'm working on a 3d induction heating model. To accurately capture the granularity of the power deposition from the EM field, I perform a Frequency Domain study using a very fine mesh. I'm then using a coarser mesh to solve a transient heat transfer problem, feeding in the solution from the EM study using the withsol() operator.
The problem I'm having is that the interpolation from fine mesh to coarse mesh appears to be very bad. Instead of a smooth distribution of values, I get a very splotchy surface with values all over the map. I've tried using a general extrusion operator and haven't had any better luck. Anyone have any ideas?
