Stationary solution as initial values for transient analysis (thermo-mechanical)

Hello, everyone.

I've been facing a problem for I while, and I would appreciate any help for this issue.
Basically, I have to components, I apply a pre-compression to the external boundaries of one of them and compute the contact pressure existing in both (see attached pictures). Then, I would like to use this solution (deformation and contact pressure) as a point of start in a transient (not necessarily transient?) thermo-mechanical analysis and see how the contact pressure is being relieved.

I am able to compute both studies separately, but without success when it comes to couple both studies.
I've seen that under "Dependent Variables", and activating "initial values for variables solved for", I can select the solution given by the stationary solver, but It doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

PS. It would be nice if someone could explain the detailed steps to follow.

Thanks in advance
