CFD of the Human Colon

Hello everyone,
I am currently working on a project for which I need to create a CFD model of a certain part of the human large intestine. Considering the geometry to be cylindrical, I am trying to model peristaltic movements (propagating pressure waves) throughout the geometry. I tried to use the physics of moving mesh as well as solid mechanics in order to simulate the contractions of the intestinal walls. My theoretical model uses either the Heaviside smooth step function or the logistic function to represent the waves however I don't know how to put this inside my model in the form of time-dependent mesh deformation. Any advice on that?
