Meshing parasolid imported structure

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi.
I've imported a parasolid strucure to comsol 4.1 by following the user manual instructions.
My structure is a multi-wire birdcage with a metal support at both ends. I've not changed the default meshing configuration. Is there any documentation about the best way to mesh such a structures?
Any example?
Regards,
Javier

Hi

try the default meshing, mostly it's OK. If you have a structure with multiple loops (tores) the mesher might nhave some issues. Then often its better to split the volumes into smaller items, you get more domains to handle and a few interiour boundaries extra, but that often helps the mesher. And you can taylor the mesh locally at will in a much easier way

Good luck
