Sloshing in a non-inertial stable tank

Dear all,
I have been trying to realize the sloshing behavior in a tank by applying a volume force coming from the left side of the tank, which will resemble similar excitations to earthquakes, sine waves, short bursts of force excitations and so on. First I have tried to apply a stable volume force to see if the fluid will exhibit "rigid body motion". However, in this simple task, the solution cannot converge and produces results that are counter-intuitive. On the other hand, I have tried applying a rectangular, step and sine functions that are individually fed into the "volume force" and sometimes they exhibited intuitive behavior, sometimes not. Although all of my boundary conditions are fairly simple, stationary and as ideal as possible, I either have a problem of convergence, or straight up a false simulation. I would like to ask you guys whether you have such experiences with the usage of volume force to simulate excitation of sloshing in a tank.
