Solver for multiphysics problem: Solid Mechanics (compression) and Magnetic Fields

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I have a problem that involves the Solid Mechanics and Magnetic Fields, No currents Module. Basically, I am compressing a part and want to study the magnetic field on the surface of the deformed mesh. The mechanical simulation has prescribed displacement defined by a parametric sweep which progressively compresses an elastomeric part. The magnetic simulation is just a permanent magnet.

Therefore, my plan is to measure the magnetic field on the deformed surface for each displacement. However, I have struggled with 2 issues: a) each of the physics requires a specific solver; b) the way the geometry needs to be defined is different: the mechanical requires an assembly to define the contact points while the magnetic has to be defined as a union otherwise the magnet domains are ill defined and the magnetic insulation is not properly defined. My question is how do I set up the solver as described above.

Thank you in advanced. My version is 5.3. I wouldn't mind if I really have to use livelink to Matlab or something along that line.
