Half ring magnet diametrically magnetization simulation issue

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all,

Currently I am working on half ring magnet with diametrically magnetization simulation, the magnetization is attached as below.

However, I have the problem to magnetize the magnet to get the expected result, the magnetization direction and result are also attached. I am thinking to use formula to handle the direction, but after many trial still not work.

May I ask if there is any possible solution for this? Thanks in advance.

BR,

Andrea,

it looks like you want a horse-shoe like magnet. In this case it is better to define a cylindrical coordinate system and define the magnetization in the phi-direction.

Cheers Edgar

Thanks Edgar, it is solved.
