Fluid Injection (2 substances)

My model has a series of tubular conduits. I want a time dependent model that begins with simple water passing in the coils followed by an injection of contrast. What is the best approach to implement this?

Hi

well CFD is not my specality, but for the methodology approach, my suggestion would be to solve a stationary flow water only first and use that as initial conditions for a transient 2 phase mixing solver physics as second step

And I woud use the latest version, it has enhanced CFD capabilities w.r.t the earler v4 releases ;)

Good luck

Hi Ivar,

I already have a solution to the stationary water only model. For the mixing though, how do I implement the appropriate boundary conditions or tell the program what two fluids are present and at what locations. Sorry but I am a newby and I am not sure how to make this model. Is there any sample model you can refer me to for mixing or fluid injection?

Take a look at the "micromixer" model example.
