Hi!
I have a 2D Reaction Engineering modell and want to add some more physics through the Synchronize with Comsol Multiphysics. I have imported my 2D geometry to the RE model.
When I then import the same geometry to the Model 2 that Comsol adds I get the error message above even though there is no 3D models or geometries involved.
Anyone have a clue whats going on ?
regards
Nils Eivind
Hi,
I have the same problem here. Could you find out the solution?

Zahra

Hi Zahra
The university has closed my e-mail service since I have finished my PhD so the detailed answer I got from Comsol support is sadly lost.
From my memory it has something to do with the fact that the RE module is optimized for 3D problems, in other words you will struggle with a 2D model.
To get further with my PhD I had to simplify and just go for a RE model of a volume element as a function of time, thereby forget about the geometry.
Sorry for not having a better answer.
Try an email directly to Comsol support.

Hi Nils,
Thank you very much. My problem has been solved, in 3D I had to open a local workplane in 2D (in Geometry), import the 2D in there and then extrude or rotate to 3D.

Zahra
