I'm new to Comsol 4.2, and Comsol in general. I'm trying to model the deflection of a cantilever beam when the tip of the beam has a metal deposited on it. A voltage is placed on the tip and the substrate is grounded. How can I find the resulting deflection due to the electrostatic forces on the tip of the beam? How can I plot the deflection vs. voltage? Are there any useful tutorials that model actuators or show how to couple electrostatics to mechanical movement? Thank's for any help!
