Hi all,

i study a cooling of electronique component by natural convection, i want to plot the Nusselt number and local Nusselt number profiles using my simulation results (the components are fixed on a vertical plate).

wich formula must i use, and how can i use comsol to plot this profiles.

someone have a idea ?

sorry for my bad english !

Check out COMSOL gallery example 1448. It shows how to calculate the effective heat transfer coefficient when you simulate natural convection. From that you can directly calculate the local Nusselt number.

Dear Nagi,
I do appreciate you participation but could you please help how to calculate heat transfer coefficint since I don't have the required licence to open the model.

Best regards
Saad

Dear Saad,

You should still be able to open the pdf document that comes with the example and it outlines the steps in some details.
