Version 4.2 was the first version to support OS X Lion after the installation of a downloadable update.
Version 4.2a supports 4.2a supports OS X Lion right out of the box.

Thank you so much.
I am just wondering am I able to update the 4.1 to 4.2 as the Comsol is currently supplied by our University. Do I need to pay or I can directly download? If so, does the license currently used is still able to be used for new version?
Cheers,
Thank you so much.

The answer to that question depends on the terms under which your university is licensing the software from COMSOL. You will want to discuss this question with the person at your University that administers the license: they will either know the answer or at least they'll be able to contact the right COMSOL representative to get an answer on that.

Sorry.
I still got one question about the Comsol.
If I downgrade the Lion to snow leopard can I just Comsol 4.1 without this problem?
I think this is the simplest way to do that.
Thanks.
