how to specify spatially dependent material properties in comsol

How to specify spatially dependent material properties in comsol? I am using wave optics module for modeling a graded RI structure. Can anyone help ?

Open the physics node-> go to Wave Equation Electric-> Scroll down to find definitions of material properties, by default it will all be set to 'From material'->set it to 'user defined' and after that you will be able to change it from isotopic to anisotropic.
