Underwater Optical Simulation

Hi, I am interested in simulating the optical processes that occur under water, in particular water which has some degree of contamination expected in a sea or lake.

I was wondering if this is something COMSOL has been used for before or if it's capable of it?

I did a search and didn't find any examples of your software(or anyone elses) being used to simulate the processes that happen under these conditions - maybe it's intractable but I thought I would ask.
