Mapped Mesh (square cells) for a Comoposite Geomety

I am trying to make a mapped mesh for a composite geometry, the geometry is as follows, a square and an ellipse with an angle of -45 degrees at the center of the square. I want all the mesh cells to be squares in the square and in the ellipse.
I am getting error 4012:Domain must be bounded by one connected edge component only.
I was thinking of finding some kind of mathematical relationship to characterize the ellipse inside the square as a contrast in electrical conductivity from scalar expressions.
Any one could help on this?
Regards;
