Simulation of Terahertz radiation within a Vacuum Chamber

Dear all,

I am quite new to Comsol and I am trying to simulate Terahertz radiation within an hollow and vacuumed steel chamber by injection of a source situated at the top of the chamber (see the .mph file attached). At the moment I am not sure if I am defining the source, respectively the port, correctly. Furthermore, I am not sure if I have to include boundary conditions for scattering. Currently I am using the "Electrmagnetic Waves - Frequency Domain" Module.

My goals would be to look first at the (homogeneity of the) energy density and later on at the photon density and irradiance within the chamber for different source positions, as well as at the existence of standing waves. This work has the concrete purpose to simulate the bundled emission of terahertz radiation within from a pre vacuum chamber to the main chamber at the KATRIN collaboration. The pre chamber geometry may later be extended by a parabolic mirror inside, that reflects the light.

I would very much appreciate your help!
