Challenges in creating a periodic function

COMSOL Community,

I am working with COMSOL to develop a cardiac electrophysiology model and am currently facing a few challenges for which I seek help from the support team.

Challenges:

When we try to make a pulse periodic the analytic function attentuates the signal and also distorts the frequency.
When an interpolation function is made periodic, the peaks are attenuated.


Attachments:
doc file with screenshots of the results from COMSOL.
xls file with original data in 1st worksheet and one peak data imported into the interpolation function in the 2nd worksheet.

Your help will be greatly appreciated in resolving these problems.

Dear Deepika,

I am working with a blood flow simulation and I am facing the same problem. When I extend the velocity periodically, everything seems to work fine. But when I extend the inlet pressure function, it gets amplified. Both functions were obtained by data interpolation and are very similar in nature.

I know it's been a while (your post is from almost 4 years ago!) but maybe you can still help me and explain how you solved the problem.
