Are you talking about RF (i.e., antenna) apertures? There are many textbooks available that discuss antenna apertures, arrays of apertures, coupling between apertures, etc. Here's a link to an aperture chapter in a free on-line text: http://eceweb1.rutgers.edu/~orfanidi/ewa/ch18.pdf
And here is a link to a paper (also free to download) about mutual coupling between rectangular apertures in an array in a plane:

Dear Mr. Koslover
Yes. RF apertures.
I am going to check the material you sent me. Thank you so much.
I am trying to use comsol to simulate two coupled apertures to validate my Matlab code, following the approach developed by F. Alsolamy, W. A. Alomar and A. Grbic, "Cylindrical Vector Beams for Wireless Power Transfer," in IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, vol. 69, no. 3, pp. 1716-1727, March 2021, doi: 10.1109/TAP.2020.3026428.
The problem is I am having problems to model two ground plane apertures.
I first replaced the apertures by surface magnetic current densities, using this kind of boundary on COMSOL (I am using the 2d axisymmetric model). But I am getting bizzarre values for the power efficiency between them. I am using a TM polarization, so the magnetic currents have only phi component. I place one current at z =0 and the other at z = L. I check the power using boundary probes (integrating the poyinting vector).
