Magnetized particle adsorption

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I'm currently working on a project, which involves magnetized particles sujected to a magnetic field and a flow field. The magnetic field is de-homogenized by a ferromagnetic wire in the middle of the domain, such that a magnetic force is acting on the particles.

Using COMSOL 5.5, I modelled the magnetic field and the flow field and now want to investigate the adsorption behaviour of the particles onto the wire. I already tried a potential based approach via General Form PDE, but it wasn't quite working out.

Can this kind of problem be solved using one of the 'Chemical species transport' modules? Or any other module? I'm aware of the adsorption subnode in the 'Transport of diluted species in porous media' but overall the module is not quite fitting, as my domain is not a porous media.

I'm relatively new to COMSOL, so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
