Level-set method : extracting interface at each simulation step

I am using the level-set method to track a droplet sliding down an inclined plane. I can get the interface in post-processing by plotting the contour of the level-set = 0.5. I can also export it as a text file if needed.

However, I want to track the values of the interface at each step, and use it as a stop condition in my simulation (eg; when the droplet has slid down by a 1 mm).

Is there a way I can extract the x-y values of the contour corresponding to the level = 0.5, at each iteration step?
