How should I define the electrode area?

I define the electrode area using the nodes on the electrode surface, but during the calculation process, not only the zinc, which serves as the anode, corroded, but the iron, which serves as the cathode, also corroded (I didn't even define the oxidation reaction for iron). I think it's because the deformed geometry couldn't recognize the zinc area (as shown in my diagram), so I remodeled it using an electrode method, but the iron still corroded. Therefore, my question is how should I accurately define the electrode area. Thank you!
