Hallo Everyone,

I trying to investigate the Poiseuille and Couette channel Flow in 2 parallel plates both Stationary case. I wanted to give inlet Boundary condition as velocity profiles explicitly such as u(x) =1/2η*dP/dx*(z^2 -(h/2^2) for Poiseuille Flow with top and bottom wall to be No Slip i.e., u=0 and outlet flow as Pressure p=0. u(x) = U0*(z/h) for Couette flow with bottom wall moving with wall velocity u(w)=0.01m/sec top wall is u=0 . I have tried both the cases and as a result I am not being able to get the desired Parabolic Profile for Poiseuille flow and Couette flow. Can someone correct me if I am going wrong somewhere?

Can we actually define above such velocity profiles for Inlet conditions? Or is it just enough to give some numerical values as input for Inlet Boundary?

Thanks in Advance!

Best Regards
