Maximum number of Newton iterations reached

Hello, I am having an issue with one of my COMSOL projects, getting the error "- Feature: Stationary Solver 1 (sol1/s1) Failed to find a solution. Maximum number of Newton iterations reached. Returned solution is not converged. Not all parameter steps returned." I have no idea how to fix it as im doing a project that gives only step by step instructions that don't explain how anything works or how to troubleshoot it. If anyone with more experience than myself can tell me where I am messing up it would be immensely appreciated.

Re: "I have no idea how to fix it as im doing a project that gives only step by step instructions that don't explain how anything works or how to troubleshoot it." Well, I think that is the heart of your problem! There is likely some error in the setup of your model or at least some feature/setting that is making it difficult for your solver to finish. If you post your model (.mph file) to the forum, it is possible someone here will take a look at it and may even offer you a helpful suggestion or two. But the best suggestion would be for you to start learning all about: (1) the physics of your project, and (2) Comsol Multiphysics. For the latter, consult the many resources available on this website. E.g., https://www.comsol.com/video-training/getting-started
