First time user - Which Model to use

Hi,

I am trying to model a particle moving through the air via gravity and impacting a liquid and getting imbedded into a glue like liquid.

Is this a CFD model or a mechanics model? Are there any tutorials or models to learn this type of model?

Many thanks,

Hi

you will probably have to check the level set of CFD models, or some FSI ? but if your "particle is a solid" and you want to see it deform its a mixture, else you can probably get around only within CFD and the pre-cooked modles.

Have you checked the model library ? there should eb an example of a ball falling in a fluid, in a tube (but you hae no free fall before hitting the fluid I believe)

Good luck
