Nanoindentation Model Troubles

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Good Evening Everyone,

I am trying to Model a nanoindentation on a metallic film located on a polymer substrate. I would like to observe the resulting displacement of the metal as the nanoindentor pushes into it, and if there is any resulting displacement in the polymer (likely yes).

So I have built my geometry taking a small section of the film substrate composite as well as the nanoindenter tip.

I would like to set a prescribed displacement in the Z axis of -40 nm of the nanoindenter tip. But I am unable to make any selection of pairs, neither between the film and substrate nor film and indenter tip?

I have attached to file in version 4.0a.

Thanks everybody, really appreciate the help.
