Changing electrode gap and tube diameter in DC glow dicharge

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello!
I am simulating DC discharge using DC glow dicharge positive_column_2d.
I am puzzled that when I reduce the distance of electrode gap, for example, to 50mm, the simulation will not converge.
I have tried to increase the resistance value to prevent arc, or change the electron mobility, or change the boundary conditions, but it does not work.
What should I do to make it converge?
Besides, when I increase the tube diameter, it does not converge, either. What's the cause again?
I am longing for suggestions!
