Calculation of forces in the magnetic field

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi @ All,

I am a newbie in the simulation with Comsol ;)
I try to calculate the force which acts on the Neodymium magnet. For this I create a model, which compute the B-Fields . Is there a possibility to calculate and analyse the force, which is acting on the magnetic ball?
Many thanks for your help,

with best regards Thommy

You must add a node "Force Computation" for the domain in question to the physics tree
under "Model/Magnetic Fields". Best done before solving, but update of an existing solution
will do. In post-processing you will see variable is the "Global Evalutation"

Hi Jens,

thx for your quick reply. I have added a "Force Calculation" and include my target Domain (the magnetic Ball). But how can i manage the Force Calculation to uses the Magnetic Flux Density for the calculation?
perhaps it is possible to modify my model (in the appendix of this post).

Thanks a lot
cya Thommy
