format data input in gamma argument

Hi all,
as a general question: f is a function which depends on x,y to be computed with a matlab script; the dependent variables are u,v; PDE in general form; what is the suitable format to input f in the gamma argument, f*ux, f*uy, f*vx, f*vy?
