Hello Im new in COMSOL

I have a 2D model for solidification where i like to put following baundaries for the temperature dependent on the time:

T(t)=533-0.03*t (kelvin)
temperature = 533 Kelvin
cooling rate =0.03 K/s
t= time (second)

thank you in advance

Hi

set a "Temperature boundary condition" node over the boundary you want to control, and write out your equation diretly like that:

533[K]-0.03[K/s]*t

"t" is defined by default in COMSOL if you call in the time solver

if you do not give the units in [ ] your formula will flag orange = WARNING unit inconsistency, but that is no error, just a warning that COMSOL cannot check that the units are consistent. Therefore I always add units, it helps me too to check that I'm writing out the formulas correctly

Good luck
