Hi,
Just started playing around with COMSOL for a project and was wondering how to make two models touch. I have a cylinder and on the top and bottom are two squares that are wider than the cylinder. I want to be able to apply a force to the corners of the squares and see the result in the cylinder to simulate a spinal column.

The most direct way is to create a single model with 3 geometry domains that abut each other as you describe. You can apply different mechanical properties to the domains, and apply the force at the vertices. Since the vertebral disk is slightly compressible, you may also consider using a deformable mesh for that component.
