conditional operator and "thermostat" logic

Hi

I'm building a time dependent problem which includes a temperature probe. When the temperature exceeds T1 , I change a material paramter , say d= a+ b(T>T1) , now T will start to drop but I want d to return to it's initial value only when T reaches the lower temperature T2.

This is analogous to a cooling system which switches on when temperature reaches T1 but switches off when temperature drops to T2.

How can this be done in Comsol?
