Optimization of selection of the right mechanical mode

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,

I would like to know how to select one specific mechanical eigenfrequency in an optimized manner. I simulate a 3D structure so too many modes are close to the one I'm interested in.

What I usually do is to compute tens of frequency around a theoretical eigenfrequency value. Then I MANUALLY select the mode I am looking for.

I found a geometrical criteria to select my mode (integrating a function related with the different components of the displacement over an specific surface of my structure) but I don't know if it is possible to implement it in a way, in which Comsol only give me as a solution the eigenfrequency I want.

Thank you for you help.
