Phase transformation in GMAW

Hi currently i am working in simulation of GMAW process and simulating distortion for any welded part. I have done heat transfer and heat conduction in simple butt weld and obtained temperature profile for the same.
Now i need to do phase transformation from ferrite/pearlite to austenite during heating and then austenite transformation to bainite/martensite during cooling.

Further, due to volume changes, i need to calculate residual stress and thereby to show the distortion in welded part... Please help on how to do these in COMSOL. Any model regarding phase transformation on steels, will be very helpful.

Although I haven't done it myself, I have considered it would be possible via the "heat transfer with phase change" feature in v. 5.0. However, you would need to have the data (k(T), cp(T) etc) for the material you are simulating through some kind of continuous cooling transformation diagram.
