Distribution of charged particles over conducting plane

Hello,

I'm trying to model the distribution of charged particles over a grounded plane as the plane deforms.

In other words, as a top gate (ground) plane is deformed due to bottom parallel plate with induced voltage, a parabolic displacement pattern is seen for the deformed top gate (with clamped edges in 2D). Now, if I place an assortment of charged particles on the top gate (initially at rest with bottom gate at zero voltage, implying initially the planes are parallel), then how can I go about solving for the distribution of charged particles as the top gate deforms under strain?

I know I must use the following physics applications for top gate deformation:

Electrostatics (es)
Moving Mesh (ALE)
plane strain (smpn)

[This model is similar to the 2D Cantilever Beam (ale) except that both the left and right boundaries of the top gate are fixed, so that the edges are clamped and the interior region can experience deformation.]

But, when solving for the distribution of charged particles placed on top gate, what other physics applications must I use and what steps should I take?

Should I use PDE modes application?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
