Hi,

I am trying to model radiative heat transfer in 3 parallel plates. the plates at the right and left sides are opaque and have only emissivity. but the plate at the center is transparrent (glass) how can I define this transparent material?

Hello,

You will find this example:
www.comsol.com/model/radiative-cooling-of-a-glass-plate-19693
relevant if you want to consider radiative heat transfer inside of a glass plate.

Note that this example does require the Heat Transfer Module.
