Two phase flow - Problem

The two-phase flow physics is very powerful for two liquids, and for a liquid drop inside some gas, but it can be problematic for the opposite case: a gas drop (bubble) inside a liquid. Is that so?

The idea is to track surface deformation (with time) while a slug is rising into a conduit. Can anybody advice on this? I am using Two phase laminar flow - Level set module.
