What's the difference between expression current density normal (ec.normJ) and normal current density(ec.nJ)

Hi,all,
When I calculate the current in the electric currents interface, I have to Integrate along one line in a 2D model.But which expression to choose is really a problem to me! What's the difference between expression current density normal (ec.normJ) and normal current density(ec.nJ).
I find the results using these two expression is quite different !
Can anyone give me some explaination! Thanks a lot!

The variable ec.normJ is the "norm" (aka, absolute magnitude) of the current density vector.
The variable ec.nJ is the component of the current vector that is "normal to" (aka, perpendicular to) a surface on which it is being evaluated.
