I'm working a a animal model, and want to look at the displacement on a cut plane. Since this cut plane was defined by three points, it has a weird angle on the Cartesian coordinate. I'm wondering when I look at displacement u, v, w on the 2D plot of the displacement on this cut plane, is this u, v, w the displacement on the Cartesian coordinate or on the coordinate of this 2D plot? If it's the displacement on the Cartesian coordinate, how can I see the displacement on the reference of the 2D plot? I saw there's a advance option when I define the cut plane says "Space variables" and "normal variables", I'm wondering what can I do with these variables? Thank you!
