time dependent solver

I have a model of a simple heat exchanger, with a finned pipe of hot water flowing through a solid. It converges to the solution I expect in a stationary study, but my time dependent studies are not working. I have been able to run it for up to 10 seconds with a 0.1 second strict time step, but anything longer than that and it stalls partway through the computation. It doesn't give me an error message and it doesn't progress.
I would appreciate any suggestions on my solver settings. I am using COMSOL 4.0a.
