simulating mooving heat source by weak form.

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am doing one heat transfer analysis in friction stir welding where heat source is mooving .I have to use 3 d conservation equation as governing equation is a partial differential equation,..
equation is

d(rho*c*T)/dt=d/dx(k*dt/dx)+d/dx(k*dt/dy)+d/dx(k*dt/dz)+v*rho*c*dT/dx.

I want to solve this in weak form to move the heat source .A term v is given which is a velocity of tool mooving. All the d/dx are partial differential .How to write the weak form of this equation and where to put this in order to solve this problem.

Please Mr. Ivar can you help me in this regard.

Or any noe specialist in this field please help me.

With regards,
Abhijit Banik.
