Problem with imported STL shape

Hello,

I am having a problem with an imported STL file.

In the example file I manage to import the shape, I then want to subtract that shape from a sphere but the output is the lower half sphere when I would have expected the top half sphere minus the little bump.

Any advice would be appreciated
