New to COMSOL. Kindly need assistance in designing a microfluidic model of a rectangular channel with creeping flow.

Hi All.

I need some help designing a COMSOL model of a microfluidic channel of rectangular geometry (Length: 28,000 um, Width: 400 um, Height: 100 um). The flow inside is required to be modelled as creeping flow (inlet flow-rate: 1um/min). At the moment, I would be happy establishing something of basic complexity in order to simply extract information such as the velocity profile within the channel.

The medium flowing through the channels is supposed to be a suspension of cancer cells (i.e. cells in culture media). The dynamic fluid viscosity for culture medium DMEM at 37°C is = 0.78*10^-3 N.s/m^2. At the moment, if it is easier, we could consider it as water flowing through the channel?

From here I would like to develop the model further as I aim to try and model the flow of cancer cells within the MF channel.

If any other information is required please do let me know!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Best Regards,

Bilal
