How to set a temperatur dependent Heat source

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear Comsol experts,

i am modeling the Temperatur Distribution of a exotherm intermetallic reaction(SHS reaction between Al-Ni).
The reactions start from the Temperatur 900K and lasts just for 1ms.
I have tried using function in Heat source term but it doesnt work.
Q [W/m^3]*an1(T)
an1(T)=0*(T<900)+1*(T>=900)*(T<1600)+0*(T>=1600)

There is an Ignition Energie at one place so that the Temperatur somewhere can be over 900K.
However the results of Simulation turns out just like there is no Q at all, just the activation works.

I am grateful if someone know how to make the Temperatur dependent Heat source of Heat Flux

Thanks!
Xia
