1D line graph post processing, extracting the value at a specific point on the line

Hi, I'm wondering what's the simplest way of extracting the value at a specific point on the line. For example, in some other software, you can place a marker on the line and the x-axis and y-axis values of the marker are shown corresponding. Thanks!
